![]() I don't care how many accessories you buy and rigs you build, it just isn't meant for that kind of work. For the money, even with out RAW, I believe nothing compares. I've spent the necessary money to get it to where it works for the purposes I bought it for, high production value corporate, independent, and feature film making. I have a BMPC 4K and have more than tripled my return on the cost of the camera using it professionally since February. The codec used in the AX1 is 150Mbps whereas the Z100 uses the same 10 bit internal recording codec as the F65 and F55 running at 600Mbps! I've actually been looking at the AX1 but it's big brother the Z100 is more appealing to me. That's changing some with the advent of broadcast able large sensor cameras though like the C300 and C500. Broadcast cameras have always been and still are very small sensor cameras. Anyway, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that either. (The fraction/decimal thing always confused me regarding sensor size). It's exactly 6.17mm by 4.55mm, about a quarter inch square. I have customers buying my footage for broadcast.Īctually it has a 1/2.3" sensor which is very very small, much smaller than an inch.
